# Live Trail Project
|

Live Trail is a self-hosted web application for sharing journeys on an interactive map. It combines live GPS positions from a [SPOT](https://www.findmespot.com) tracker with GPX routes, posts, photos, videos, and a chronological activity feed, supporting both real-time tracking and historical travel stories.

## Getting started
|
|
|
|
1. Clone Git onto web server
|
|
2. Update php.ini parameters
|
|
3. Copy timezone data: mariadb-tzinfo-to-sql /usr/share/zoneinfo | mariadb -u root mysql
|
|
4. Copy settings-sample.php to settings.php and populate
|
|
5. Optional: if testing locally, copy one of the config/*.conf files to apache/nginx site folder
|
|
6. Follow CI/CD script in .gitea/workflows/deploy.yml
|
|
7. Add a GPX file named <project_codename>.gpx to /resources/geo/
|
|
8. Go to #admin and create a new project (with code name = <project_codename>) & feed
|
|
|
|
